Justice 4 whom? Thoughts on Conrad Murray

The commencement of Dr. Conrad Murray's trial draws closer by the hour. As the media readies itself to discuss the case, one little phrase seems to conspicuously squirm its way into every pre-trial broadcast: "Justice for Michael."

But what does that even mean?

More Michael Jackson fan insanity: a case study of Sabine Faustin

Desiree's note: Readers, you had to know I was going to talk about this. This sad individual and her anti-Desiree blog are technically old news but since I am typically slow on the upkeep of this blog and everything in the world of Michael Jackson, this still deserves an 'honorable mention'.

Some might wonder why, given the usual focus of this blog, I'd want to highlight yet more fan shenanigans. Why would I want to give them any shine?

It's an understandable question; after all, fanatics shape the Michael Jackson discussion, rehashing tired and unconvincing public relations spin—the spin that many of us have abandoned due to how many questions it leaves—as a defense of Jackson's questionable conduct with young boys, always shifting the onus of proving his guilt to his 'doubters'.

Because, as we know, if we doubters cannot provide any evidence (or if this evidence, while publicly available, was not allowed in during his trial) that beyond a shadow of a doubt proves he was a pedophile child molester, it means Michael Jackson is blameless and innocent, which is ludicrous.

Of course, if that is how the game has to be played, so be it. Rational people know that reasonable suspicion is often enough to 'convict' a party of certain crimes, especially if the party in question (Michael Jackson) displays certain characteristics that would be advantageous to bringing about guilt.

But why should I muck up 'Desiree speaks...so listen...' by talking about these silly fanatics? Shouldn’t I spend more time refuting their talking points?

Yes, and no.

This site has numerous detractors given the perspective taken here (founded upon publicly available information). Let's face it: most people who have a singular interest in Jackson are fans; as such, they believe the sun shines out from his anus. Because of my research and chats I've had with insiders, I deviate a bit from that viewpoint, and it's safe to say that I do not believe the sun shines out from Michael Jackson's anus.

This belief, again, founded upon evidence widely available to the public, has made this site a target for rabid Jackson fanatics.

I find the intellectual fascism and illogical hysterics of Michael Jackson's diehards absolutely atrocious, and, therefore, I believe their behavior should be displayed for the world to see.

Status update

It's been a while since I've posted anything of importance that pertains to the subject du jour on this blog. Just to let the regulars know, I am going on a hiatus, an indefinite one.

I plan to write more entries but, at the moment, I just don't believe I can maintain the type of quality I like to keep with my pieces. As I've always delineated, the pieces are pretty time-consuming to crank out and I'm also a perfectionist; you can imagine how being busy throws a monkey wrench into that already annoying situation.

The last post I'd been writing on just didn't have the quality I like and working on it now seems impossible, given my schedule...and, honestly, there's a lack of interest. Currently, I've been writing (fiction) and drawing extensively (maybe you've noticed my new blog avatar) and it's all I'd like to spend my free time doing.

I apologize for the just lack of any type of new content and I suggest that people perhaps subscribe to the posts feed for this blog so, if you're still interested, you can be notified when I do write something new.

I highly suggest this; it seriously makes me feel guilty having people come on and there's no new anything for people to read!

As always, feel free to use the comments section to report anything you find on Jacko, if you'd like. But this--right now--seems like the necessary evil.

Thanks for reading and I'll probably return sooner rather than later. It'll be good when this is all over and the blog is floating in cyberspace, though.

:-)
